South Beach Rincon Mission Bay Neighborhood Association (SBRMBNA) has been asked by SF New Deal, the nonprofit that launched the Vacant to Vibrant popup storefront program in 2023, to sponsor a presentation on a new tool they’ve piloted in Union Square — The Vibrancy Index. They’ve targeted five other neighborhoods, including Mission Bay, to possibly roll out a survey tool and gauge where each of the neighborhoods stand as evaluated by the metrics they’re developing. SF New Deal works with City agencies, community based organizations, corporations and foundations, and small businesses and locals, to co-create solutions and responsive programs to meet both the urgent and long-term needs of San Francisco’s small businesses. SBRMBNA’s board has invited the new Mission Bay Neighborhood Association board and membership to join them in this meeting, and from there, to discuss interest in taking on a survey, either independently, or as part of a consortium effort.
